Abstract Objectives To explore the efficacy of integrated Chinese and Western Medicine combined cognitive behavior intervention for non-bacterial prostatitis. Methods 146 cases of patients with chronic nonbacterial prostatitis in our hospital from November 2013 and February 2015,were selected as the study objects, who were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group by registration order. The Patients in the control group were treated with Bazheng Tang associated with Tamsulosin Hydrochloride Sustained Release Capsules, and ones in the observation group, besides that, were given extra cognitive behavioral intervention. After 2 months, clinical effects and scores of NIH-CPSI were compared between two groups before and after treatment. Results Total scores of dysuria and pain, life quality and NIH-CPSI, were significantly decreased posttreatment, there were significant differences between the two groups. The scores of the indexes decreased more obviously in the observation group. The total effective rate of the control group was 78.5%, of the observation group was 98.7%,and the difference between two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusions Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine combined cognitive behavior intervention for non-bacterial prostatitis is an effective and safe therapy. This method has an important clinical significance and is worth further investigation.
