Effect of Baoshen Paishi Plaster combined with extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy in the treatment of ureteral calculi of lower-Jiao damp-heat syndrome and its effect on inflammatory factors and renal function
Objective To observe the effect of Baoshen Paishi Plaster combined with extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy in the treatment of lower-Jiao damp-heat ureteral calculi and its influence on inflammatory factors and renal function.Methods From October 2020 to August 2022, 128 patients with lower-Jiao damp-heat ureteral calculi in our hospital were selected. According to different treatment methods, they were equally divided into observation group and control group,with 64 case in each group. The observation group was treated with Baoshen Paishi Plaster combined with extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy, and the control group was only treated with extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy.The clinical efficacy, remission time of clinical symptoms, inflammatory factors [interleukin-6(IL-6), tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP)] before and 14 days after treatment were compared between the two groups, renal function indexes, serum creatinine (Scr), urea nitrogen (BUN) levels before and 14 days after treatment, as well as adverse reactions and postoperative complications during treatment.Results The total effective rate in observation group was 93.75%(60/64), which was higher than 78.13%(50/64) in control group (P<0.05). The disappearance time of hematuria, the relief time of low back pain and the relief time of micturition pain in observation group were shorter than those in control group (all P<0.001). The levels of IL-6, TNF-αand hs-CRP after treatment in observation group were lower than those in control group (all P<0.001). After treatment, the levels of Scr and BUN in observation group were lower than those in control group (all P<0.001). There were no obvious adverse reactions and postoperative complications in two groups.Conclusions The treatment of ureteral calculi of lower-Jiao damp-heat syndrome with Baoshen Paishi Plaster combined with extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy can improve the curative effect, improve the symptoms of patients, inhibit the inflammatory reaction and improve the renal function.
