The effect of transurethral thulium laser resection of bladder tumor in the treatment of non-invasive bladder cancer and its influence on inflammatory factors and quality of life
Objective To explore the clinical effect of transurethral thulium laser resection of bladder tumor (TmLRBT) in non-muscular invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) and its influence on inflammatory factors and quality of life. Methods A total of 106 NMIBC patients treated in our hospital from June 2019 to November 2020 were selected and divided into observation group and control group according to random number table method, with 53 cases in each group. The control group received transurethral holmium laser resection of bladder tumor (HoLRBT), and the observation group received TmLRBT. Preoperative and postoperative inflammatory indicators [neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet to lymphocyte ratio (PLR), immunoinflammatory index (SII)], quality of life score, and postoperative complication rate were compared between the two groups. Results There were no significant differences in operation time, incidence of bladder irritation, preoperative NLR, PLR, SII and quality of life scores between the two groups (all P>0.05). The intraoperative blood loss, NLR, PLR and SII in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (all P<0.05). Postoperative irrigation time, catheter retention time and total hospital stay in the observation group were shorter than control group, and postoper ative quality of life score was higher than control group (all P=0.001).Conclusions The application of TmLRBT in NMIBC has significant clinical effect, which can effectively improve inflammatory factors and quality of life, optimize surgery-related indicators, and is worthy of clinical promotion.
