Abstract:Objective To compare the clinical effects of transurethral plasma enucleation (TUKEP) and transurethral plasma resection of prostate (TUPKP) in the treatment of prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).Methods A total of 220 BPH patients admitted to our hospital from January 2019 to June 2021 were randomly divided into observation group (TUKEP) and control group (TUPKP), with 110 cases in each group. The clinical indexes and the incidence of postoperative complications were compared between the two groups. Results The duration of bladder irrigation, intraoperative blood loss, catheter indentation time, hospital stay and operation time in the observation group were all lower than those in the control group, with statistical significance (all P<0.05). The weight of prostatectomy in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The International Prostate symptom score (IPSS) and quality of life (QOL) scores after surgery were lower than those before surgery, and the maximum urinary flow rate (Qmax) was higher than that before surgery, with statistical significance (all P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion TUKEP has obvious advantages in terms of intraoperative blood loss, prostatectomy weight, bladder irrigation time, postoperative indenture catheter time and hospital stay, and it has the advantages of fewer complications, quick recovery and low recurrence rate, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
