Abstract:Objective To study the correlation between serum acyl ghrelin (AG) level with mineral and iron metabolism disorders in patients with end-stage renal disease.Methods From May 2017 to December 2020,112 patients with endstage renal disease treated in our hospital were selected as the research object, and 112 patients who underwent physical examination during the same period were selected as the control group. The differences of levels of serum iron (SI), phosphorus (P), calcium (Ca), serum creatine (Scr), serum ferritin (SF), total ghrelin, dis-acyl ghrelin (DG) and AG in the observation group and the control group were compared, and the correlation between AG with SI, P, Ca, Scr and SF was studied.Results The levels of SI, Ca in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the levels of P, Scr, SF, total ghrelin, DG and AG in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (all P<0.001). AG was negatively correlated with SI and Ca levels (r=-0.456, -0.596), and positively correlated with P, Scr and SF levels (r=0.441, 0.852, 0.574, all P<0.001).Conclusions There is a significant correlation between serum AG level and mineral and iron metabolism disorders in patients with end-stage renal disease. It is necessary to detect mineral levels in time and correct mineral metabolism disorders to improve the prognosis of patients.
