Objective To clarify its relationship with clinical pathological characteristics of bladder cancer, so as to evaluate the function of AEBP1 as a prognosis marker in bladder cancer, AEBP1 is predicted to promote the development of bladder cancer. Methods Retrospective and prognostic analysis of the public data set of bladder cancer collected from NCBI was performed. Gene set analysis method (GSEA) was used to analyze the related gene set regulated by AEBP1.Results The results showed that the expression of AEBP1 was significantly different in bladder cancer patients with different invasive (P<0.001), grade (P<0.001), T stage (P<0.001) and N stage (P=0.002). The expression of AEBP1 was correlated with the overall survival and specific survival of bladder cancer patients. The specific survival time of patients with bladder cancer with high expression of AEBP1 was significantly lower than that of patients with bladder cancer (P=0.0003, HR=0.2723, 95%CI: 0.1353~0.5481), and the overall survival of patients with bladder cancer with high expression of AEBP1 was significantly lower than that of AEBP1 low expression group (P=0.0159,HR=0.5479,95%CI:0.3360~0.8934). The expression of AEBP1 was enriched with myosin production, inflammatory response, UV response, MYC signaling pathway, endothelial-stromal transformation, Notch signaling pathway, ILS-JAK-STAT pathway, IL2STAT5 signaling pathway, Hedgehog pathway, TNF-α pathway, complement, interferon gamma, top node, coagulation, mucus, hypoxia, angiogenesis, top, allograft rejection related gene. Conclusions AEBP1 is associated with multiple pathological indicators in bladder cancer. The prognosis of patients with bladder cancer in high expression group is worse, and prediction can be used as a potential marker for prognosis of patients with bladder cancer and the target of bladder tumor.
