Objective To evaluate the clinic efficacy of zoledronic acid combined with matrine in the treatment of advanced prostate with bone metastases.Methods A total of 79 patients with advanced prostate cancer were randomly divided into two groups,treatment group(44 cases)received the therapy of zoledronic acid combined with matrine, control group(35 cases) accepted the zoledronic acid treatment simply.Serum ALP values and visual analogue pain score (VAS) were evaluated 3 months after treatment.Results The levels of ALP in the treatment group and the control group were changed compared with those before treatment, the blood ALP in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05).The total efficiency of pain relief was 88.64% in treatment group,and 62.86% in the control group,it was significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05).Conclusions Zoledronic acid combined with matrine in the treatment of advanced prostate cancer with bone metastasis can relieve pain and reduce bone metabolism.
